This is a variety which was planted at Stonecroft soon after the first vineyard was established in 1982. With this Gewürztraminer we are aiming for a medium dry wine which is lighter in style and food friendly.
Wine
Colour: Pale gold.
Aromatics: This year our Gewürztraminer has very interesting aromatics. Tropical fruit notes dominate the bouquet with papaya, guava and lychee plus hints of honey.
Palate: On the palate the wine has a weighty texture and mouthfeel, with tropical fruit flavours. The wine will benefit from bottle age. The wine is a single vineyard wine, with fruit from our Roy’s Hill Vineyard. Medium Dry. Suitable for vegans.
