Description
Old Vine Gewürztraminer 2021
Stonecroft has always been known for this variety and our Old Vine has a loyal following. With the Old Vine Gewürztraminer we aim for a rich style of Gewürztraminer with some sweetness (medium dry this vintage) and we look to get at least a small amount of botrytis (noble rot) in the grapes. The wine is made with fruit from vines planted in 1992.
Chardonnay 2023
This Chardonnay is from fruit from both our Roy’s Hill and Mere Road Vineyards. The clones of Chardonnay are Mendoza and Clone 15 which both produce low to moderate yields and rich fruit flavours. This Chardonnay has stone fruit aromatics with nutty notes and hint of lees. On the palate, it has rich peach and nectarine flavours, with a weighty texture and a long finish.
Gewürztraminer 2024
2024 was a picture-perfect vintage, allowing long, uninterrupted ripening through summer until picking time in Autumn. We are very happy with this playful take on this eclectic variety. A delicate ribbon of acid laces through this wine holding in balance the natural ripe fruit and floral richness.
