93 points/ 5 stars. A beautifully composed chardonnay; the elegantly expressed bouquet shows white flesh stone fruit, rockmelon, nougat, vanilla and subtle cedary wood characters, leading to a concentrated palate that is wonderfully weighted and rounded. The wine offers pristine fruit flavours together with elegant savoury nuances, brilliantly supported by creamy mouthfeel and refreshing acidity. At its best: now to 2025. $27.00. Certified organic. Dec 2018.
Certified organic, the 2018 vintage (4*) was estate-grown, hand-harvested, and fermented and matured for five months in French oak barriques (35 per cent new). Pale yellow, with a hint of straw, it is full-bodied, with generous, ripe, stonefruit flavours, showing good complexity, hints of butter and toast, balanced acidity, and lots of drink-young appeal. Best drinking 2020+.
